When Jesus taught us to pray, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”, He was teaching us perspective. Our prayers are not to inform heaven of what’s happening on earth, but to bring what’s happening in heaven to earth. In Revelation 5, we are given a picture of heaven’s reaction to the Lamb taking the scroll of the story of redemption. Heaven is not troubled by the things to come because it is convinced of the One who holds all those things. They are not afraid of what’s written in the scroll because they are confident in the One who holds the scroll. Join us Wednesday night as we get back to our study of the book of Revelation, a study that is not about understanding the times, but trusting the Lamb. Let’s be reminded that this letter is not a revelation of the end times, but the Revelation of Jesus Christ, who in the end will receive all the glory and will restore all things.
