As Jesus approached the Cross, the weight of His calling began to press on Him. Last week we looked at when Jesus said, “My soul is troubled”. The journey is too much for all of us, but if we let God, He will bear it. He promised to never leave us or forsake us. He doesn’t spare us the difficulty, but He strengthens us to endure it. Jesus prayed for God to be glorified in the midst of His trouble. All our good is found in God’s glory. In our passage we see Jesus use “now” 3 times: “Now My soul is troubled…Now is the judgement of the world…Now the ruler of this world will be cast out.” This morning I pray that we would stop living from the past or living for the future, but that we would start living in the now.
