This Lenten season we’re concentrating specifically on the things that Jesus said that are recorded in all three of the synoptic gospels, Matthew, Mark and Luke. One of the events that all three of the gospels tell us about is the cleansing of the temple. After the triumphant entry, Jesus went into the temple and he drove out the money changers, those who where buying and selling and then he quoted from the book of Isaiah saying, “It is written, ‘My house is a house of prayer, but you have made it a den of thieves.’”
In this second sermon of our mini-series, “Jesus Said,” Pastor Abie Kulynych focuses on the tension between Jesus and the religious leaders and God’s provision in the midst of it all, “Yet they could not find any way to do it because all the people hung on His word.” Luke 19:48
