There is an old saying that goes, “It’s not what you know. It’s who you know”. Peter’s second letter seems to affirm this statement. Twice, at the very beginning of the letter Peter stresses the importance of “the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord”. From this knowledge flows grace and peace, flows “all things that pertain to life and godliness”, flows the precious promises that don’t only rescue us from the corruption of the world but make us partakers of Jesus’ own divine nature. Join us tomorrow night as we discuss the knowledge of God, not what He knows, but what He has made known to us, of Himself through Jesus. We may discover that anything we fear or feel like we are lacking can be found in our knowledge of Jesus, that as we know Him more, we experience the abundance of His character and receive the ever-increasing measure of His grace and His peace.
