IWe often look for new answers when all we truly need are fresh reminders. Peter begins the third chapter of this letter by reminding his readers that the questions of scoffers can be answered by the truth they have already believed. Many of us don’t test well because we fear questions, but Peter’s effort in this letter is to encourage the church that no question formed against them can undo what God has already spoken to them, if they are willing to remember. There is power in the Scripture to remind us of who God is and to hold us where we belong.
