“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.” John 15:12-14 NIV
What a great reminder to know that God took the initiative! When we couldn’t do it on our own, he came down to us, to dwell with us, to abide in us, to save us. Yes, Jesus literally laid down his life for us.
