This is our third week talking about “The We of Prayer,” “The Gift of Prayer,” really using the Lord’s Prayer as it is taught in Luke 11 as our guide. As we’ve been talking about, this is not just Jesus telling us what we should say in prayer. It is not a prayer that we should memorize and speak without thought, without feeling, without any understanding. As Jesus is teaching us what prayer is, and as Jesus is teaching us how he prayed, in many ways Jesus is teaching us who God is. Jesus began with the relationship of prayer saying, “When you pray, say: Our Father.” Then He moved to the character of the One we’re praying to, “Hallowed Be Your Name.”
In this week’s sermon, pastor Abie Kulynych talks about this one line that’s so important in this one prayer, “Your Kingdom Come.”
