This Sunday we had the pleasure of having our good friend, Joanne DiLeo, as our speaker. Joanne leads worship and brings the Word every Thursday night at the Beverly Presbyterian Praise and Worship service which begins at 7:00pm. Please take some time to listen to her sermon and if you are free on Thursday night, we encourage you to check out her weekly service.
In our passage this morning we read about Paul’s “thorn in the flesh”. We often get caught up in what we fear the enemy will do to us, but what we forgot in those moments that even the enemy knows who God is and cannot overtake us. The “thorn” the enemy sent to destroy Paul’s work, God was going to use. Paul cried out in hope that this thorn would be removed, that his situation would change, but the answer he got was “My grace is sufficient for you, My power is made perfect in weakness.” This morning I pray, that we would see that in recognizing our weakness, we experience His strength.
